Amazon just announced plans to cut 14,000 jobs, citing artificial intelligence as one reason behind the move.
According to Beth Galetti, SVP of People Experience and Technology at Amazon, AI is enabling companies to "innovate much faster than ever before" โ and that means being โorganized more leanly, with fewer layers and more ownership.โ
The pattern is clear โ AI is reshaping the workforce.
Companies are betting they can become more profitable with fewer employees.
But it raises an uncomfortable question:
